Students, alumni, and family members give to Student Life at UMBC in many important ways. We appreciate your time, creativity, and financial support of our efforts. So that we may continue to offer our students high quality programs and services, please consider making a donation to one of our initiatives detailed below.
These funds allow us to offer students scholarships to attend one of our several leadership retreats. Consistently 100% of students who participate in STRiVE (week long leadership retreat) say they would recommend the program to a friend. While we make every effort to keep the expenses low, some students simply cannot afford to attend without some financial support.
Funds in this account are put toward programmatic efforts to support the LGBTQ student community on campus. Whether hosting speakers, webinars or other educational opportunities for students to the possibility of creating of a lavender graduation on campus, these funds directly benefit the LGBTQ students at UMBC.
Many UMBC students find their sense of community within fraternity and sorority life. Donations to support this area are used to offer educational and recognition programming for the Greek Community including, Greek Week, Greek Awards, and the Greek Summit. We would also love to be able to offer support to Greek students wishing to attend national and regional leadership conferences.
Student Life offers a wide variety of programs and services for students ranging from civic engagement opportunities to diversity initiatives and from social programs to service and volunteerism experiences. Donations in this account will be used to continue to develop new ideas to better serve our students.
