Student Employment

Student Life is now accepting applications for the following student positions. Click the position title to see a full job description. A common application for all positions can be found below the positions.

Media Engagement Intern

The Media Engagement Intern works for the Student Life Office and is supervised by the Coordinator for Student Engagement. The Intern manages Student Life's Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram accounts daily, takes photos and videos of campus events (Including Welcome Week, Homecoming, Convocation, & Quadmania, etc.), develops engaging and unique online and print graphics, & creates engaging video content with the help of Student Life Staff.

Community Engagement Intern

The Community Engagement Intern works with the Coordinator for Student Organizations. The intern co-facilitates the development of a campus-wide service-learning community and encourages community engagement.

Student Life Ambassador

The Student Life Ambassador helps create a welcoming, friendly, & helpful environment for all visitors and callers. The Ambassador is responsible for being knowledgeable about Student Life functions, is willing to go above and beyond in terms of helping visitors, and perform administrative office work. Additionally Ambassadors perform other duties that will assist staff in the operation, events and initiatives of Student Life.

Graduate Assistantships

There are several graduate assistantships offered through Student Life. Assistantships are typically two-year positions. Graduate Assistantships will be advertised through UMBCworks.
